Standing Beside Tanvir: A Fight Against Guillain-Barré Syndrome

Humayun Kabir (Tanvir), the only brother of three sisters and a beloved former student of Bateshwar Adarsha High School (Batch of 2017), is currently fighting for his life at Dhaka Medical College Hospital ICU.

Tanvir has been diagnosed with a rare and life-threatening neurological disorder called Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) — a condition in which the body's immune system mistakenly attacks the nerves, leading to paralysis and respiratory failure.

His treatment is extremely costly. Doctors have prescribed a special injection costing approximately BDT 132,000 per day, which must be administered for five consecutive days. This financial burden is beyond what his family can afford.

In this critical time, the youth organization “YES I Can” has stepped forward to support Tanvir and his family. They are raising funds and spreading awareness to ensure he receives the lifesaving treatment he desperately needs.

This is not just Tanvir’s battle — it’s a fight for hope, humanity, and compassion. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a difference in giving him a second chance at life.
